1. Who we are
GradReady ("we", "us", "our") operates grade-ready.com. We provide resume analysis and career tools for students and recent graduates. Contact: contact@grade-ready.com
2. Data we collect
Resume text: When you use our analyzer, we process the resume text you submit. This is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis (see Section 6) and stored in our database.
Email address: If you provide your email (optional for free users, required for accounts), we use it to send your results and follow-up tips. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Account data: If you create an account, we store your email, account status, and analysis history.
Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Usage data: We collect anonymized usage data (pages visited, features used) to improve the product.
3. How long we store your data
Free users: Resume text and analysis results are stored for 30 days, then automatically deleted.
Paid users: Analysis results are stored indefinitely so you can access them from your dashboard. You can delete them at any time from your account settings.
Email addresses: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
4. We never sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.
5. How we use your data
We use your data to: (1) provide and improve our resume analysis service, (2) send you your results and optional follow-up tips, (3) process payments, (4) comply with legal obligations.
6. Third-party services
Anthropic (Claude API): We send your resume text to Anthropic's API to generate analysis results. Anthropic processes this data according to their API usage policies. Resume content submitted via the API is not used to train Anthropic's models. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Supabase: We use Supabase to store your data securely. Data is stored on servers in the United States.
Stripe: Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Resend: We use Resend to send transactional emails. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
7. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)
You have the right to: access the data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to processing, and data portability.
For CCPA purposes: California residents can request disclosure of data collected, sold, or disclosed; request deletion; and opt out of sale (we don't sell data).
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@grade-ready.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
